Derelict London

From interesting graffiti...

to disused tube stations...

to Winston Churchill's secret WWII bunker. Derelictlondon.com has pictures of everything not so glamourous about London. Way better than any tourist trip.

Crop circle

Um...what is this? Spotted somewhere in Canary Wharf.

Sweet and sour

Yes, this about says it all...

Station

This blog wouldn't be worth it's salt if it didn't at least have one image of a typical tiled tube station. This is Kilburn Park Station on the Bakerloo line.

Fashion faux pas

You've seen the movie, you've been to the tower...Now buy the crazy headgear!

Henry IIX

My! What an impressive er...suit! Codpieces were in fashion. The bigger the better. Clearly.

Tower of London

The Tower.
The chains. Ain't no one getting out of there!

I actually have no idea what this is and what it's for. It's on one of the newer buildings.

Norman Chapel

You can almost imagine you are in medieval England. Except for the UFO in the backgroud...

Colourblind

What's this? A black telephone booth? Apparently the booths in the City of Westminster are all black, instead of red. And apparently I'm the only person who didn't know...

I space invader London

Apparently they are space invaders invading cities across the world. The space invaders are peaceful and non-political...they just love to invade. This one was found at London Bridge, and more can be seen here.

Long live the Queen!

[sic] This bit of aggressive graffiti was on a wall at Hyde Park Corner tube station. When I came back that way it was gone. Naturally. Makes you wonder about loyalty, and the English love of tradition, though...

Signs of life

Ah, if only life was that beautiful!

This is quite tacky. Naturally I want one.
The coffee shop at The Tower of London. It's true: history does make you hungry!

Creepy express

Having a carraige all to yourself is not as much fun as it sounds...it's quite creepy.

Shiny things

Shiny lights under a bridge. No idea what they are for, but they sure look pretty!

The people of the City of Westminster...

Give this fellow money and he will entertain you...

For a group dressed so conspicuously they were strangely surprised when people took pictures of them...

This man did not only stand deadstill for hours on end, he also really looked like a statue. He even had a little pedestal with a plaque!

London Eye

These tires are turning the entire wheel in rain and shine...so if you ever need to buy tires again, Continental is your best bet for grip!

Don't look down, don't look down, don't look down...

Houses of Parliament as seen from the London Eye.
